| Saturday, September 25th At the BROADWAY: Please join us on the 2nd floor for a night of traditional blues and dancing. Todd Van Der Veer is back on the drums, and in case you hadn't noticed, Miss Roberta is helping out on back up vocals. Awesome! So now it's not just Big Jim singing in them high ranges, we got Roberta up in the mix too! Now, you may see some special guests sitting in come show time. Broadway will be on vaction until the 13th of September, and then a revitalized staff will be ready to greet you. They love the Blues Pig fans and are ready to make your Saturday Night out on the town an enjoyable experience. Thank you for supporting Sarasota's newest live music venue, which, incidentally, was founded in 1925! Full bar, food until 1 a.m., the best pizza in town, smoke free inside, big outside patio upstairs, located on the corner of 10th and Coconut behind the Broadway Promenade Publix on U.S. 41 accross from the Van Wetzel Performing Arts Hall. |
| Big Times down at the Broadway Special guests Mike Carden on drums (from the band Yesterdaze) and the famous Howlin' Bob Fieberts, of the Howlin' Bob Band, made the August gig at the B'way just that much hotter. In July, Chip Swider on harp sat in, and we just keep rolling along. Lots of private parties coming up, but you keep looking us up here at the bluespig.com and we will keep you on your dancing toes with some more "special" guest musicians helping us get the blues downtown to you! | Radio Station WSLR 96.5 FM SUPPORT LOCAL COMMUNITY RADIO: DJ Charly Lukart is on Wednesday Afternoon with the RADIO GUMBO show, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. I don't know how he does it, but he finds some great new blues from around the world and from the Mississipi Delta and brings it all home to us here in Sarasota. Charly is also on again on Sunday mornings at 7 a.m. with the BLUE HORIZON show--great music, great radio, Sarasota's own WSLR 96.5 LP FM. Support your community radio! Hey, Paul "Mr. Rhythm" is way cool too on Tuesday afteroon. This radio station aims to please! Call the studio at 355-4540 and request your favorite song!
